Round 1, Pick 13
Round 2, Pick 42 (From CLV)
Round 2, Pick 43
Round 4, Pick 112
Round 5, Pick 143
Round 6, Pick 207 (From SF via HOU)
Offensive tackle, center, and inside linebacker are the positions the club currently needs the most. It might be postseason or bust for them next season, and once Aaron Rodgers joins the team, simply reaching the postseason could be insufficient. Have to believe the team will go defense early since the feeling is they will not part with the 13th overall selection... Expect one of our seconds will be apart of the deal. With that saying how does JD approach this draft?
Trading down, us the fans want to recoup some pix which is all good and dandy but the team could take the best player on the board which could be Linebacker or Wide Receiver. Taking Minnesota's center in the top 15 is ridiculous. Doubt we trade down but if we do trade down into the 20"s then he would be smart selection.
Right now Boston College WR Zay Flowers with our 1st pick could be the top pick pairing with Wilson & Lazard.
DL can be gotten in the 4th round.
LB can be the other 1st round target but doubt they use a pick that early with Mosley still here.
Safety is another option but they are likely targeting this one prospect out of Oklahoma State Jason Taylor II, a 7th round / Rookie Free Agent. Pair Taylor with Adams could be our future tandem.
OT there are plenty of prospects likely to be around in late 3rd early 4th that can be developed into starter.
Do we dare draft a QB?
We have a stable room at RB!
Our TE room is set for next season!
Our biggest need right now is Center, we have a solid group at tackle.
Receiver is questionable where another top talent is not needed but a luxury.
Depending how they feel about our corners I doubt they target anyone this year. Maybe rookie free agent.
We are in need of an LB/Edge otherwise we are solid throughout the rest of the roster.
Thoughts???
